The Arrival is the work of St. Louis artist Rudy Torrini. It depicts the 1836 arrival of the pioneer sisters from Lyon, France, to St. Louis
In the upper left corner the first log cabin home is represented. Significant people are shown in the closer view: Bishop Joseph Rosati, first bishop of St. Louis; Mother St. John Fontbonne who authorized the new mission; and Mme Felicie Rochejaquelin who financed the project. The artist worked with cold cast bronze (polyester resin with bronze filings). It was placed in the Motherhouse in 2001.
