Before electricity was introduced to the Motherhouse, windows like these with 2 shades of yellow translucent glass were used in the 1899 chapel. With the advent of electricity here in the 1920s, new stained glass windows from the Wallis company were installed in the chapel. Remnants of the original windows can be found in other parts of the building.
